Reports said Banietemad will preside over the jury of the international competition section of IFFI.
The Indian event will also screen Bani-Etemad’s ‘The Blue-Veiled’.
Banietemad is named among pioneering women directors in cinema history by IMDb, the most popular source for movie, TV and celebrity content in the world.
In a video titled “A Salute to Women Directors”, IMDb selected Banietemad’s ‘Tales’ among the movies that were reviewed in the footage.
The International Film Festival of India is “one of the most prominent film festivals in Asia”, the event’s website reads.
The annual festival “offers a platform to all cinephiles and creators across the globe to showcase their work and talent”.
The 53rd edition of the festival will take place on November 20-28.
